Black Woman Kindness Initiative (BWKI)

Black Woman Kindness Initiative provide, is a community organisation dedicated to the well-being and self-development of Black women. Our mission is to foster a community that uplifts, supports, and empowers Black women on their journey to a holistic well-being. Through initiatives, programs, and a network of kindness, we strive to create a space where Black women can thrive.

Volunteer Community Coordinator

Main tasks and responsibilities

As Community coordinator you’ll:

  • create an active and energised community
  • welcoming, and inspired community by managing communications,
  • storytelling, and social engagement.
  • Your role is key to helping our audience feel informed, connected, and uplifted about the activities of the organisation.

What skills do I need?

Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications
  • Must have at least 3 months admin experience
  • Knowledge of creating newsletters or blogs
  • Respond to messages, comments, and inquiries in a timely and thoughtful way.
  • Support the promotion of events, programs, and campaigns across platforms.
  • Gather and share testimonials, and feedback.
  • A strong writing voice with warmth, clarity, and cultural awareness.
  • Confidence using platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Canva, Mailchimp (or similar tools)
  • Interest in storytelling or creative writing and amplifying the voices of women.
  • A proactive and organized approach, with attention to detail and care.

Volunteer required to work 5 hours a week. Can choose which days and times suits best
