About Sue's House

Sue's house is a small and informal cancer charity based in Ilford. We care for those going through and having survived cancer by providing counselling and additional therapies.

Mains tasks and responsibilities

  • This is an opportunity to be a part of a small, friendly informal charity, which gives support to people suffering from cancer and other illnesses.
  • We need someone to provide reflexology sessions for cancer sufferers and their families when required.
  • Experience of working with distressed individuals.

What skills do I need?

Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications

  • Therapists should be fully qualified and registered with the appropriate professional body.
  • In addition they will need to have personal indemnity insurance to practise at Sue's House.
  • A safe space will be provided, with the basic amenities, such as practice chair, but specialist equipment will need to be  provided by the therapist.
  • need to 18+ years old

Details

Sue's House is open 3 days a week during the daytime. Volunteers would ideally offer 2 hours a week or fortnight, but other times may be accommodated by arrangement.
