Bit of context about the role
Fantastic opportunity to get involved with a fun, community based, peer-to-peer exercise and wellbeing programme supporting people living with/and or at risk of cardiovascular disease and other chronic health conditions.
You will be working closely with programme founder/lead to help run and manage our social media. There are a variety of social media channels, tasks and activities so you develop lots of new skills.
You need a flexible and positive attitude and can work remote from home, or if interested work from an office in Stratford where the programme founder/lead is based.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- To promote our activities and programme on social media channels
- To increase engagement and number of followers on social media.
- To design social media campaigns, curate and publish new content.
- To provide performance data and plan strategies in conjunction with programme lead.
- To support event planning, exercise sessions, monthly social events, annual Xmas and awards dinner.
Customer Care:
- To ensure good relationships are established which create positive image of the DodgyTickers programme.
- To treat people with respect and dignity and be aware of individual needs including cultural requirements and differences.

Benefits to volunteer
- Expenses: We will cover agreed out-of-pocket expenses for volunteering (e.g., travel costs).
- You will be working closely with programme founder/lead to help run the community programme. There will be a variety of tasks and activities so you will learn and develop lots of new skills.
Flexibility: Can volunteer up to 4 hours- to suit between Monday to Friday between 10am – 4pm as agreed.
You can stop volunteering at any time but please do let the organisation know as soon as possible.
What skills do I need?
Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications
- Some experience of social media channels is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written)
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Able to act as a representative of our organisation to generate a positive image externally.
- Confident, enthusiastic, and able to deal sympathetically, patiently, and sensitively with stakeholders.
- Personable and empathic.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Additionally, mobile phone and laptop/tablet device preferable.
- Need to be over 16+, parental consent will be required
