Trustees/Directors

Redbridge Equalities and Community Council (RECC) is an established Charity Incorporated Organisation(CIO), with ambitious goals for improvement, transformation and resilience.  

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all and actively seeking to fill vacancies for Trustees to strengthen and build capacity on the Board, to reflect the rich diversity of our communities in Redbridge and surrounding areas.

Main tasks and responsibilities 

• Trustees are responsible for the charity's governance, overall performance and direction. 

• Trustees are expected to attend Board meetings that will take place 6 times a year from 7pm - 8:30pm, currently online.
• Team player with capacity for independent critical thinking 
• Ability to champion equity, diversity, community cohesion and social inclusion
• Capacity to assimilate information, data and decision making skills

What skills do I need?

Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications

Areas of specific experience and skills in one or more of the following would be helpful:

• Accounting sofware e.g. QuickBooks.
• Risk management and strategic planning. 
• Income generation and investments. 
• CRM/SEO/AI.
• Events/ Campaigns.

Individuals with sound experience and skills in particular areas - Accountancy, Finance, Social Investment, Risk management, Digital media & Ai, People and culture 

Individuals from at least 16 years old with valuable skills, lived or learned experience, in alignment with the mission, purpose and values of RECC are eligible to apply for the role of Trustee.
