Walk It Out

Walk it out is seeking a creative and skilled Videographer and Video Editor to join our team. In this volunteer role, you will play a crucial part in capturing the heart of our organisation's work and sharing it with the community through compelling video content.

We are seeking support from a videographer/photographer who is passionate about their community. 

Images have the power to tell stories, evoke emotions and connect people from all walks of life and you will help us in capturing these moments.

Due to the nature of our group where we work closely with vulnerable women we will be considering female applicants only for this role.

Main tasks and responsibilities 

  • To capture our events and live talks. We are looking for a keen interest in film production and digital technology. 
  • Filming video on set and on location.
  • Be capable of handling a variety of project types in different recording environments. 
  • Collaborate with Walk It Out to plan video shoots. 
  • You will need to supply your own equipment. 
  • Setting up cameras, microphones, lighting and other equipment. 
  • Capture high-quality video footage that highlights our volunteer events, community initiatives and success stories. 
  • Edit and produce engaging video content, including event highlights, interviews and promotional video. 
  • Availability to attend and capture events as needed. 

Desired

  • Adding computer graphics, closed captioning and special effects to footage.

Skills, attributes, experience and qualifications

  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
  • Excellent English language and speaking skills.
  • Be able to foster positive working relationships in a diverse organisation. 
  • You will also need to demonstrate that you are able to work in a fast-paced environment and be up for exciting challenges.

As and when required approx once or twice a month, we will work around the volunteer.
